In celebration of its 25th anniversary, The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) will hold a ceremony to open a time capsule placed on campus in the 1990s and launch its 25th Anniversary Commemorative Publication next Monday (27 May). You or your representatives are cordially invited to cover the event.

Among the historical items preserved in the capsule was a letter written by Founding Council Chairman Dr Simon Ip Sik-on in 1996 to the current Council Chairman. During the ceremony, Dr Ip will pass the letter, which set out the vision and mission of the then Institute, to Professor Frederick Ma Si-hang, the current Council Chairman of the University.

President Professor Stephen Cheung Yan-leung will join Professor Ma and Dr Ip to officiate at the ceremony. Other details are as follows:

Free shuttle coaches will pick up media representatives at the University Station (Exit B) Public Transport Interchange from 10:00 am to 10:45 am (shuttles will run every 15 minutes).
