22nd Primary STEM Project Exhibition
You or your representatives are cordially invited to cover the 22nd Primary STEM Project Exhibition (PSPE), which will be held on 16 May (Thursday). The exhibition is co-organised by the Centre for Education in Environmental Sustainability (CEES) and the Department of Science and Environmental Studies at The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK), along with other parties.
The aim of the exhibition, themed “Smart Toys”, is to enhance students’ STEM ability, and encourage innovation and self-directed learning through observing, reasoning and experimenting. At the exhibition, nearly 200 teams from primary schools in Hong Kong, Zhongshan, Guangdong, Shenzhen and Macau will present how they integrated STEM elements to create or modify their smart toys. This is the largest annual exhibition in Hong Kong featuring primary school STEM projects.
Outstanding works will be awarded by the exhibition’s organising committee. Innovative projects to be showcased include:
- a scientific investigation into the Internet of Things and programming a toy car;
- a project on the theory and practice of Faraday's law of electromagnetic induction on a toy gyro; and
- an investigation into the security and feasibility of a toy gun made of straw.
