Online Application for Documentary Proof for Retitling Now Open to 90,000 Graduates
Starting today (14 November), approximately 90,000 graduates of the former Hong Kong Institute of Education (HKIEd) can apply for a Documentary Proof for Retitling (DPR) issued by The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) through an online platform.
DPR recognises the academic awards conferred by the former Institute as EdUHK awards. Holders of higher degrees, degrees, diplomas, associate degrees/pre-associate degrees and certificates conferred by the then Institute proper are eligible under the DPR exercise.
In view of the large number of alumni involved, such applications will be processed in two phases, as follows.
Graduation year | Application period |
---|---|
2004/05 to 2014/15 | 14 November 2016 to 31 May 2017 |
1994/95 to 2003/04 | 14 December 2016 to 30 June 2017 |
EdUHK will disseminate the relevant information to HKIEd graduates via email and other platforms. Applicants are required to submit their personal data, including names, identity card numbers and contacts, together with the online payment of a HK$150 handling charge through credit card or Union Pay.
Applicants or their authorised representatives can collect DPR at the EdUHK Tai Po campus in person. DPR can also be sent to them by courier with a postage charge. For the relevant information, please visit: https://www.eduhk.hk/dpr.
Professor Stephen Cheung Yan-leung, President of EdUHK, said, “the DPR is more than just a documentary proof. It symbolises the close ties between the University and its alumni. We hope that our alumni will take this opportunity to return to the campus to reminisce about their HKIEd years and catch up with teachers and friends at EdUHK”.
