You or your representatives are cordially invited to cover the Third International Conference on Chinese Language Education, organised by the Department of Chinese Language Studies at The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) and the Hong Kong Schools Music And Speech Association (HKSMSA), which will be held this Friday and Saturday (16 & 17 November) at EdUHK. Participating in the event will be experts, scholars and teachers from the United States, Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, Mainland China, Macau and Hong Kong.  

The Conference will provide an international platform for knowledge exchange among global Chinese education experts, and explore the latest developments in Chinese language teaching, including curriculum design, teaching materials and pedagogical approaches. Developments in the teaching and learning of speech and recitation and their relation to language education will also be discussed. Other details are as follows:

Professor Lui Tai-lok, Vice President (Research and Development) of EdUHK, and Dr Anson Yang, Chairman of the HKSMSA Committee, will deliver the welcome remarks at the Opening Ceremony. The keynote speakers at the conference include Professor Zhang Hongming, Department of Asian Language and Culture, University of Wisconsin, USA,  Ms Li Ping, Vice-president of the Chinese program at the UWC Changshu China Ms Quan Yuli, the founder of Hong Kong College Putonghua Recitation Society, and Professor Tang Chiu-kay, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences of Chu Hai College of Higher Education.
