EdUHK Delegation Visits to University of British Columbia and Simon Fraser University
Professor Chetwyn Chan Che-hin, Vice President (Research & Development) of The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK), recently led a delegation to visit the University of British Columbia (UBC) and Simon Fraser University (SFU), in Canada.
The EdUHK delegation held discussions with Professor Matthew Evenden, Associate Vice President (Research and Innovation), senior management and scholars at UBC, focusing on academic collaboration and student exchanges between the two universities.
The visit established a foundation for prospective collaboration that will enhance both universities’ academic and research landscapes. EdUHK has placed a strong emphasis on enhancing the global perspective of our students through the International Outreach Study Programme. This year, students in the Doctor of Philosophy and Doctor of Education programmes embarked on a four-day visit to SFU. During this visit, they participated in a variety of academic activities, including workshops, seminars, student presentations, and networking. These experiences provided opportunities for students to interact with international postgraduate peers and scholars, significantly contributing to their academic and professional development.
