Policy Dialogue Series: A Government without Party and Votes by Professor Anthony B.L. Cheung

You or your representatives are cordially invited to cover a policy dialogue session titled “A Government without Party and Votes”, organised by the Faculty of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences and the Department of Asian and Policy Studies (APS) of The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) this Friday (21 September). During the session, Research Chair Professor of Public Administration Professor Anthony B.L. Cheung will share his insights into the topic.

Professor Cheung is a former Secretary for Transport and Housing of the Hong Kong SAR Government. After serving a five-year term, he returned to academia in early 2018. Over the past five years, Professor Cheung had the opportunity to observe and experience closely Hong Kong’s governance and administration. This has enabled him to interpret government and politics in the real world from different perspectives.

The policy dialogue series, comprising five bi-monthly dialogue sessions to be held throughout 2018-19 academic year, is designed to provide a forum to explore various contemporary public policy challenges facing Hong Kong, including The Political System and Executive-Legislative Relations; “One Country, Two Systems” and Hong Kong-Mainland Relations; and Housing Policy and Politics, among others. The first dialogue focuses on the "The Political System and Executive-Legislative Relations."
