Professor Leung Chi-hung is a chartered psychologist, specialising in autism spectrum disorder. He was named a member of the APS College of Educational and Developmental Psychologists since 2004. He has taught various psychology and special education courses for nearly 25 years. A play-based app he developed won a silver medal at the 46th International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva and a Special Delegation Award from the Ministry of Research and Innovation of the Romanian government.

The app evaluates children’s executive functions – skills encompassing their ability to control emotional, behavioural, and cognitive actions and responses to get things done. Professor Leung used the prototype to assess 260 children, with an accuracy rate of over 90%. His research focuses are (a) play and social competence, (b) Chinese parenting practices, and (c) EdTECH for children with special needs.
