You or your representatives are cordially invited to cover the fourth session of a Policy Dialogue series, titled “The Politics of Public Transport and Transport Infrastructure”, co-organised by the Department of Asian and Policy Studies (APS) of The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) and the Division of Public Policy of The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) this Thursday (21 March). During the session, Research Chair Professor of Public Administration at EdUHK Professor Anthony Cheung Bing-leung will share his insight into the topic.

After serving a five-year term as Secretary for Transport and Housing of the Hong Kong SAR Government, Professor Cheung returned to academia in early 2018. Over his five-year tenure in government, Professor Cheung had the opportunity to observe and experience closely Hong Kong’s governance and administration. This Policy Dialogue series is designed to provide a forum to explore various contemporary public policy challenges facing Hong Kong. The previous three sessions had examined Hong Kong’s, political system and executive-legislative relations, ‘one country, two systems’ and housing policy.  This coming dialogue session will focus on The Politics of Public Transport and Transport Infrastructure. Issues like public transport strategy, fares and toll charges, road pricing, MTR, green mobility, and delay and cost overrun of transport infrastructure projects will be discussed.
